Contaminated Water—Again

Had a representative from Atlantic Filter visit my home today (8-6-2024) to explain how putting a filtration system in my home to insure I had clean drinking water for myself and KC. You just can’t trust the city of WPB to inform us IN A TIMELY MANNER OUR DRINKING WATER IS NOT SAFE.
First time it took 8 days before we were notified we had been drinking contaminated water. Thank you, Mayor Keith James and City Administrator Faye Johnson,
Posted on the city’s website July 18, 2024.
“Public notice: important information about your drinking water.”
“The city of West Palm Beach exceeded Turbidity (Cloudiness) Treatment Requirements.”
What should I do?
“There is nothing you need to do. You do not need to boil water or take other corrective action. You would be notified if the water is not safe to drink.”
“If you have a severely compromised immune system, have an infant, are pregnant, or elderly you may be at increased risk, and should seek advice. from your health care provider about drinking this water.” Is the water safe or not.? Call my doctor to see if he thinks I should drink contaminated water.
What does this mean?
“This is not an emergency. If it had been, you would have been notified within 24 hours.
Turbidity has no health effects. However, turbidity can interfere with disinfection and provide a medium for microbial growth. Turbidity may indicate the presence of disease-causing organisms. These organisms include bacteria, viruses, and parasites which can cause symptoms such as nausea, cramps, diarrhea, and associated headaches.”
Atlantic Filter tested my water and here are the results.
This is the level of Chlorine in our drinking water.
Now ask yourself–do you feel safe drinking City water?
